Somerley Park, part of the Earl of Normanton’s private estate in Ringwood, Hampshire, hosts the first International event of the season, attracting both amateurs and top competitors from more than a dozen different nations.
Now in its twelfth year, the trials’ challenging cross country course is set in hundreds of acres of park and woodland and runs in front of the house itself. The show jumping area is sited next to the main marquee and is in easy walk of the dressage arena and the start of the cross country course.
Somerley Park is North West of Ringwood, Hampshire. (10 miles north of Bournemouth, 15 miles south of Salisbury) From the A31 take the B3801 towards Verwood, after a short time take the right hand fork towards Alderholt. After 1 1/2 miles, the Horse Trials Entrance is on the right.
