Due to the unexpected cancellation of the Final at Highclere Castle Horse Trials in August, caused by water logging on the course for the first time in seventeen years, and the difficulty of trying to stage the final at another event so late in the season when riders were competing abroad, Mitsubishi Motors decided to award the prizes to the leaderboard at the end of the four qualifying events. Therefore Oliver Townend and Andrew Nicholson were awarded cheques for £3,000 and £2,000 respectively.
